National Service – Training

Normie Entered The Australian Army in February 1968. His service included:

3 Months Recruit Training – 2nd Recruit Traing Battalion (2RTB) Puckapunyal, Victoria.

3 Moths Corps Training at Armoured Centre Puckapunyal, Victoria.

6 Moths Unit and specialist training A Squadron 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps, Holsworthy NSW

(this included a Mine Warfare Course at the School of Military Engineering, Casula NSW and Jungle Training at The Jungle Training Centre Canungra, Qld.

Then 12 months in Vietnam as a Driver Signaller then Crew Commander Based at Nui Dat Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam.
