The 2023 Lest We Forget ANZAC Day Tribute Concert

The 2023 Lest We Forget ANZAC Day Tribute Concert was a special commemoration featuring over 100 of Australia’s military, veteran and civilian artists all coming together to honour the fallen.

The concert at Sydney’s Town Hall began with a special tribute to two of Australia’s oldest veterans Ron Leckie and Donald Kennedy, and featured Normie Rowe AM, Christine Anu, Mark Vincent, Corporal Elizabeth Smith and Petty Officer Tracy Kennedy RAN as well as musicians from the Sydney Youth Orchestra, The Australian Remembrance Orchestra and the Australian Military Wives Choir.

Marking the ‘going down of the sun’, the special Sunset Tribute allowed more Australians to participate on ANZAC Day, particularly those unable to attend dawn services.

The event was broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7 Regional, reaching areas of the country where there are no local sunset commemorations were able to be held.
